After they finished getting ready, they headed outside to Selena’s training field to start her daily training.
“Alright Selena, today I will show you a very special technique that your father wants me to teach you,” Kasumi said as they neared the center of the field.
“Ok,” Selena responded excitedly.
“Watch carefully. This is your lesson for today.” Kasumi said as she used her powers to form a sword in her hands. “You will be summing your energy to create weapons.” She said.
“Wow. That’s cool. I’ve seen it done before, but I never thought I would be learning it too.” Selena replied astonished.
“That’s right my pup, now it’s your turn to try. All you do is channel your energy through your hands the way you do when you heal someone and visualize a blade forming.” Kasumi said sternly.
“Ok. I’ll give it a try.” Selena responded as she closed her eyes and began concentrating.
At first, nothing happened, but within a few heartbeats her hand began tingling, and when she opened her eyes there was a perfect blade. She stared at in awe, and then glanced up at her mother, and was pleased to see a slightly impressed look upon her face.
“Very good for your first try Selena. Let’s try a new weapon. This time in your second form.” Kasumi said.
“My second form, but I have yet to reach that point yet,” Selena said to her mother with wide eyes.
“Well, you will do it today. Don’t worry pup you’ll do fine.” Kasumi said putting a hand on her shoulder.
“Alright,” Selena said nodding.
“Now as you know all chaiura have a beast side as well as a more human side, well today I want you to become familiar with your beast side. When you better understand your beast and then let it free, but only enough to where you are in your second transformation. I will teach you later how to transform into your third form, and teach you how to control it.” Kasumi said while studying her reaction.
“Alright, I’ll try,” Selena says as she sits down on the ground and starts concentrating, while Kasumi walks around her to make sure she summons her beast correctly.
“Ok Selena concentrate, you should start to feel your beast coming out of its cage,” Kasumi said.
“Ok.” She replied back as she starts concentrating, and soon after she did so she felt her beast start to rise from within her.
“Mistress.” Selena’s beast called out.
Selena turns towards the voice that was calling her and sees a beautiful Inu coming towards her, to eventually stop before her. She had beautiful white fur, which was longer around her tail and paws, as well as around her head and neck. She also had these beautiful green eyes that truly brought out her beauty.
Selena didn't know what to make of the creature before her. She didn't feel any malicious coming from her, but she was very powerful so she smiled down and said, “So you must be my beast?”
“That’s correct my mistress.” Her beast said with a bow of her head.
“There is no need to be so formal my friend,” Selena said to her beast.
The creature smiled and asked, “So what will you have me call you then?”
“Anything you like. You are me and I am you so we don’t need to be so formal with each other.” She replied.
“Very well then my lady.” Her beast responded with a short bow.
“So what is it you do for me?” She asked her beast as she sat down next to her.
“Well, you could say that I am here to help you understand things about yourself.” Her beast replied looking at her lady.
“Like what?” She asked looking off into the distance.
“Hn... Well like your instincts for example. I am your more animalistic side that relies on instincts and emotions, and I can help you learn to better control them. I am the one that helps you choose the right mate for you. When we are joined as one my side will be shown sometimes and I will help you recuperate your strength, or I shall give you strength in times of need, or I will step in to help you control the situation before you as you.” Her beast replied.
“You help me choose a mate? What if I have already chosen one?” She asked her beast.
“If you mean Doshi, I am the one to help you find out your feelings towards him. When he first helped you to transform I decided then that he would make a fine mate for us, and that he will help to bring out our true powers. Once we are mated to him, he shall also increase in power to help better protect you in times of need.” She waited for her lady to absorb the information she had just been told, and then continued on. “Delos, on the other hand, my lady is very dangerous to us.”
“Dangerous? How dangerous?” She asked wide-eyed.
“He’s dangerous because I felt his power when he helped us to join together, and it was very dark. If he was to be our mate he could destroy us. Until you are more fully trained by your mother I shall step in to protect you from him, until Doshi can come to you.” Her beast said.
“I appreciate it, and thanks for all you’ve done for me so far. Even though this is the first we’ve met. May I know your name?” She asked her beast.
“I can be called anything you like my lady.” She said bowing her head.
“Alright, then your name shall be Miyuki. What do you think?” She said and suddenly she saw her beast change a little. Her beast now had a sliver of red highlight mixed in with the hair around her head with the same beautiful white coat, but this time she had markings on her body to signify that they were now one.
“I like it very much my lady, thank you for the name you have chosen for me. I shall wear it with pride.” Her beast said and smiled at her lady.
“You’re welcome my friend. Now, how would you like to be let out?” She asked her beast standing.
“I would like that very much, my lady.” She said back smiling.
“Alright then let’s try merging into my second form, will that be ok?” she asked her beast.
“It’s alright with me my lady,” Miyuki said as she closed her eyes.
Suddenly Selena began glowing as she did before, but this time she didn’t need the help of another to transform. She stood allowing the transformation to complete. After it was completed she stood there in her second form.
Her whole body was now covered in white fur; her hair remained the same beautiful red color. Her eyes had changed to the mixing of her own blue color and the green color of her beast’s eyes making them a beautiful blue-green color. She had white wolf-like ears on top her head, a long white wolf tail, her face resembled a wolf but she was humanoid in body, her claws remained on her hands, but now had gold tips on the ends, and her stripes were now more defined on her face, wrists, arms, waist, and ankles.
“Very well done Selena, you have successfully transformed into your second form, and I must say it’s beautiful.” Kasumi said proudly.
“Thank you, honored mother.” Selena and her beast said as one.
“Now I want you to try the same technique and conjure a different weapon,” Kasumi said.
“Alright.” Selena said and closed her eyes.
She concentrated like she had done before, suddenly very quickly her powers came to her hands and she used the power to create her weapon. When she opened her eyes there was a long spear type dagger in her hands. She looked to her mother who was now in her second form and was please when she gave her a smile and a nod.
Kasumi was beautiful in her second form. Like Selena her whole body was now covered in a silvery-white fur, her hair grew longer down to her ankles, but remained its beautiful blue/gold color. Her eyes had changed to the maroon color of her beast’s eyes. She has wolf-like ears on top of her head. Her face resembled a wolf but was also humanoid in body like Selena, but she had two long silvery-white tails. Her claws remained on her hands, and her stripes were now more defined on her face, wrists, ankles, and the very tip of her tail.
“Very impressive, you have done well my pup. Now let’s test your ability to fight with your new weapon.” Kasumi said in her own chaiura voice.
“Alright.” Selena nodded and they began fighting when Kasumi pulled out her own weapon and charged at her.
Inside the palace, Queen Azume was sitting in her chair in the throne room. It was where she always was before heading to dine with her family.
“Tenshi.” Azume said looking over to her.
“Yes, majesty what can I do for you?” She asked bowing shortly.
“Would you be so kind and go fine Selena for me, and ask her to come and see me in here.” Azume said.
“Yes majesty,” Tenshi said as she bowed again before heading out to do the queen’s wishes.
As she walked down the narrow hallways she was having a hard time finding Selena and noticed lord Doshi walking down the hall towards her and decided to ask him where she could find her lady.
“Lord Doshi, may I have a moment of your time?” She asked walking up to him.
“Sure Tenshi, what’s on your mind?” Asked Doshi.
“The queen has asked me to find Lady Selena, and tell her that she needs to see her mother, but I can’t seem to locate her, would you be so kind and tell me if you’ve seen her.” Said Tenshi.
"I’ve seen her; she’s in her training field with her trainer,” Doshi told her.
“Thanks for the help lord Doshi.” She said before bowing before him and walked off towards her lady's training field.
“Huh. That was weird, oh well.” He shrugged and continued on his way.
Tenshi walked outside and headed towards Selena’s training field and when she reached it she gasped in wonder at the beautiful place she was training in. Suddenly off to the side, she sees Selena in her second form leaping backward and another woman bringing her sword down as if trying to hurt her. Quietly as to not disturb them she walked towards them.
“You are doing well Selena…” She said while bringing her sword forward to jab it into her side. “But you’re not good enough yet pup.”
Selena looked over when she sensed someone entering her training field and when she jumped away from her mother she caught sight of Tenshi walking towards her, and wondered what it was she wanted. When she got closer she began to get her attention.
“My Lady,” Tenshi said loud enough for her to hear.
"Yes Tenshi, what can I do for you?” Selena responded while still fighting with Kasumi.
“My lady, your mother wishes to speak with you,” Tenshi responded.
“What for.” She said as she dodged another one of Kasumi’s attacks.
“I don’t know my lady; all she said was for you to meet her in the throne room.” She responded back watching her lady as she moved.
“Alright, tell her I will be along in a little bit. I just have to finish up my training.” Selena responded leaping forward towards Kasumi with her sword raised.
“Yes, my lady.” Tenshi said as she turned and headed back into the palace. Once she reached the throne room she walked up to the queen to give her the message from her pup.
“Majesty I have returned.” She said bowing.
“Have you found Selena?” Azume asked from her seat.
“Yes majesty, she said that she will see you in a bit. She had to finish up her training and said she would be along shortly.” She replied.
“Alright, thank you, Tenshi,” Azume said as she waited for her pup to come to her.
Outside the two women had just finished training and were now trying to catch their breaths.
“Good training today Selena, your father would be proud of you to see you advancing so quickly in your training.” Kasumi said out of breath.
“Thanks, mother.” Selena said nodding.
“Now I think you should transform back and go inside and see what that woman wants. Don’t forget what you have learned it may just save your life one day. I am going to rest here for a moment, and I’ll meet you inside.”
“Alright, thanks for everything, today mother.” She said transforming back.
Kasumi smiled at her and they both walked toward the palace. When they arrive in the palace, they both headed to the throne room to see the queen. Selena came upon the doors to the throne room and the guards standing there opened them for her. She nodded her thanks and walked in first and was followed in by Kasumi. She noticed her mother in her usual spot on her thrown and Delos sitting just off to the side. Shrugging her shoulders she walked on and walked up to her mother.
“Mother you wished to see me?” She asked her mother, totally ignoring Delos. When she heard him growl lowly to himself when she didn’t acknowledge him she growled back softly warning him to stop.
“Yes I did Selena, would you go find your sister and tell her supper will be ready soon, and that I want to talk with her about tomorrow.” The queen said, and then looked at Delos as she heard him growling lowly to himself. It seems that her pup was ignoring him and it was making him angry.
“Why do you want me to find her, can’t Eris do it?” Selena asked her mother with a growl in her voice.
“Eris is training at the moment,” Azume replied.
“Oh, I see take me away from my training to do it, thanks so much mother,” Selena said as she continued growling, and her eyes began changing colors just as Kasumi walks up to her to stand slightly behind and to the right of Selena.
“Kill her now; don’t let that female talk to you that way.” Said Selena’s beast.
“You know I can’t do that Miyuki, even though I want to she is my mother, and until I win the competition I have to do as she asks,” Selena replied back to her beast.
Just then Doshi walks into the throne room and starts heading towards Selena, when he reached her he noticed that her eyes were flashing between blue and green indicating that her beast wanted out.
“This female will do so again if not stopped now.” Miyuki said growling herself.
“I know this Miyuki now let me have control so I can handle the situation,” Selena said to her beast and then turned her now blue/green eyes to her mother.
“Do not sass me pup, you will do as you are told. Am I understood?” Azume said in a challenging voice.
Growling again as she fought with her beast to attack the female in front of her, she looked at her, took a deep breath to steady her nerves, and began speaking.
“Fine... As you wish... Mother…” She said bowing to leave. She then turns and walks toward her mother and Doshi.
“Are you alright?” Kasumi asked her pup.
“Yes, I’m fine now. I have to go find my sister would you two care to join me.” She said looking between them.
“Sure I would love to.” He said out loud. “Her beast was almost let out I hope she will be ok.” He thought to himself.
“Sure I’ll come, anything to get away from that woman,” Kasumi said.
“My thoughts exactly. Let’s get going.” Selena said as they all turned and headed out of the throne room and headed for the stables.

When they all reached outside Selena felt the hairs on her neck stand at attention, and she stopped to take a look around. When she found nothing around them indicating danger she walked on.
“Selena are you alright?” Kasumi asked as she put an arm around her shoulders.
“Yes, mother I’m ok.” She replied with a sigh as they continued walking towards the stables.
“You don’t seem ok, what happened with mother?” Doshi asked walking next to her.
“She took me away from my training to go and find my sister,” Selena said looking at him.
“Why didn’t she call your other sister to go find her?” Kasumi asked taking her arm down from Selena’s shoulder.
“Because my sisters’ training was apparently more important than mine was so she made me go and look for her,” Selena replied.
“I hope mate will be better. You must comfort mate, help her to realize everything will be alright.” Said Doshi’s beast.
“Yes.” He answered his beast and put his arm around his mate, and saw as she rested her head on his shoulder sighing in contentment.
“You know Selena; you don’t have to put up with that woman anymore,” Kasumi said as she watched the two.
“I know.” She said growling lowly to herself. “My beast said the same thing.” She replied.
“It did, what did it say?” Asked Doshi.
“She said that I should kill her for talking to me that way and that she was going to take over if need be to do so,” Selena said.
“Ah so that’s why your eyes were changing, you were fighting with your beast,” Doshi said.
“That’s correct. She was very adamant about fighting mother just now.” She responded and looked at him.
“When you were fighting with your beast how did you handle her so you could take back control.” Asked Kasumi.
“I just told her to let me have control for the moment so that I could handle the situation, and she backed down,” Selena said looking at her mother.
“Very well done then Selena, you have completed the next step in your training in how to control your beast,” Kasumi said as Doshi looked proudly at her.
“Really.” She said wide-eyed.
“Yes your father would be very proud of you,” Kasumi said nodding as they entered the stables.
“As am I Koi. A beast is very difficult to control when you first merge with one, especially when it’s offended by someone.” Doshi said hugging her softly.
“Thanks.” She said hugging him back. “Now let’s get our horses ready so we can be back.” She said turning to look at both of them.
“Yes,” Kasumi said with a nod and heads to get her horse ready.
“Alright,” Doshi said with a nod of his head and heads to get his own horse ready.
Selena smiles to herself and walks over to her own horse, and began speaking to her in her mind.
“Afternoon Bara.” She said telepathically walking up to pet her.
“Afternoon my lady.” She responded nudging her hand.
“Bara I need to find my sister would you like to come out for a while.” She asked as she watched her mother and Doshi getting their horses ready.
“I would like that my lady.” She replied with a nod of her head.
“Very well let’s get you suited up then.” She said as she began getting her horse ready, after about ten minutes she had her horse ready to go and she turned towards the others. “I got my horse suited up, how about you?” She asked them.
“I got mine suited up,” Doshi said coming around the stall with his horse.
“As do I,” Kasumi said also walking up to them.
“Alright let’s get going, I don’t wanna keep that woman waiting any longer than needed.” She said as she started to lead her horse out of the stables.
“Yeah you’re right, let’s go,” Kasumi said as she followed behind her pup.
"Right behind you Koi, lead on,” Doshi said following both females out of the stables.
Once outside the stables they all mounted their horses and got on. Selena looked to the others to see them nodding signaling they were ready to go. Selena’s horse leaped up and took off and they began looking for Sierra. What they didn’t notice was Delos was on his own horse ready to follow them. When he saw them take off he did as well and began following them while hiding his aura and scent.

When they finally found Sierra, she was fast asleep under a tree snuggled with her horse. They all rode up to her and when she didn’t awaken Selena got off her horse and walked over to her sleeping form.
“Sierra, wake up!” Selena said roughly kicking her shoe.
“Huh? What? Oh, Selena, it’s you.” She said looking up and rubbing her eyes.
“Yes, it’s me, who else would it be. Now get up mother wants to see you.” Selena said with a sigh.
“What does she want?” She asked standing.
“She said to tell you that supper was going to be served soon, and that she wants to talk to us about tomorrow,” Selena responded.
“Ok, what’s happening tomorrow?” Sierra asked not knowing about the competitions starting tomorrow.
“Sierra you know that tomorrow is the start of the competitions,” Selena said putting her hands on her waist.
“Competitions? I thought there was only one competition.” Doshi asked getting off his horse and walked next to Selena.
“One of the competition is a series of battles that Selena, as well as yourself, and the rest of your kin will all have to fight in to compete for the chance of ruling the universe and Alpha Centaury, and the other is for the chance of gaining a mate,” Kasumi said from her horse.
“Oh yeah. Man, I forgot about the second competition, ugh.” Selena said with another sigh.
“What’s so bad about the second one?” Asked Doshi as he smirked and then he felt someone watching them and turned to look around.
Selena watched his reaction and looked around, when she saw Delos a few meters away with his apparent aura and scent hidden she looked back at Doshi and answered his question.
“Oh. Nothing is bad I just forgotten is all.” She said with a light blush on her face.
“I shall explain it if you like Selena,” Kasumi said from her horse.
“Yes please explain it; I was never informed about the second competition,” Sierra said as she nodded to her.
Kasumi looked at her pup and when she nodded her ok she began telling about the second competition.
“Ok in the second competition the female which is going to be Selena, as well as yourself, and your other sister are subjective to a presentation to the males who are seeking mates,” Kasumi said.
“Is it only for us or, are our brothers going to do it as well?” Asked Sierra.
“Only for us Sierra, the males are free to dominate their own choice of females,” Selena responded for her mother.
“Ah ok, please continue Kasumi,” Sierra said turning back to the female on the horse.
“The purpose of the competition is: the male seeks a strong female to gain strong pups. This union and their pups may produce a fine leader to take over the duties of their predecessors. If more than one male is interested in the female, then a tournament will be held for all eligible suitors. They will all fight until there is only one left as the victor. Then that male may dominate the female in order to mate with her.
“Wow, I had no idea,” Sierra said to herself.
“That will be my chance to formally claim Selena as my mate,” Doshi says to himself. Not knowing that Kasumi heard him and smiled as she continued on. “After the presentation and acceptance of the females, the available males will make their suits be known to the potential mate. They will introduce themselves to the females and try to win her over by their posturing. This gives the female insight on how she can be protected by the candidates. The female has every right to reject the male or males if she does not see him or them worthy of her attention or protection. The females, in turn, will battle the remaining male to show him that he is getting a strong female in return. If the male cannot defeat the female, then the male will leave the female alone and seek another.” Kasumi said.
“I had no idea that is how Inu’s mated,” Sierra said.
“It’s not just for Inu’s but other chaiura’s as well, and it’s also only for the Inu’s and other chaiura’s of noble birth,” Doshi said.
“Would you like me to continue?” Asked Kasumi.
“Yes please continue.” Selena nodded for her mother to continue.
“And last, once the female submits to the male, he will then mark her on her right shoulder to show that she has been claimed. This mark will keep away any potential suitors or other males that might desire the female. During this time, the male becomes very possessive, affectionate and protective of his chosen female. He will then take the female away to a private location to restrict the female for the purpose of their unity.”
“Wow that’s crazy, so then the second competition for the females is going to be after the first one?” Said Sierra.
“That’s the way it’s supposed to be, but your mother has to decide that,” Kasumi said.
“Then the answer is yes,” Selena said nodding.
“Are you attending as well Doshi?” Asked Kasumi.
“Of course he is he’s our brother after all,” Sierra said.
Selena and Doshi looked at each other to decide if they should tell her. Doshi nodded to her and she turned to tell Sierra.
“Sierra, what has mother told you about Doshi?” She asked.
“Nothing, why?” Sierra responded.
“I’m asking because I am about to tell you something that she should have told you, and should have told all of us,” Selena said.
“Alright what is it?” She asked.
“Doshi is not our brother Sierra; he was adopted by my father and our mother when we were young pups,” Selena said looking at Doshi.
“Ah, so that’s it. I was wondering why I saw him kissing you. So if he’s not our brother, can he still fight in the competition?” Sierra asked.
“Yes he can still fight in the competition if he wishes to adopted or not, and if he does win he will be in line to take over after your mother’s reign is over,” Kasumi said.
Not too far away Delos was listening in to what was being said and thought it would be the perfect time to get rid of Doshi. He would definitely compete in the second competition and he would lose he would make sure of it, and then he would be able to dominate his female.
“My lady, Delos is near we need to be careful. If you need me I shall take over for you if he tries anything.” Selena’s beast said to her.
“Yes, I had already sensed him as soon as we left the stables. I have been keeping a watch on him, and so far he seems to be content in just listening to our conversation. If I should require your assistance, you‘ll know right away.” Selena replied to her beast as Sierra’s voice brought her out of her thoughts.
“So are you going to fight?” Asked Sierra as she turned towards Doshi.
“Yes, I shall fight.” He answered her.
“Alright then, come everyone lets head back. Your mother is waiting.” Kasumi said.
“Yes,” Selena said as she nodded and heads towards her horse.
“Selena…” Doshi called out to her.
“Yes, Doshi.” She replied turning around.
Doshi walks over to her and brings her into his embrace for a short time, kisses her gently and when they broke apart Doshi turned with a smirk on his face and mounted his horse. While Selena just stood there eyes wide, bringing her fingers to her lips.
“Come on Selena don’t wanna keep mother waiting,” Sierra said from her horse.
“You’re right.” She said with a slight growl, looks at Doshi, and gets on her horse. “Let’s go,” Selena said as she took off with everyone following behind her.
While riding Selena senses Delos following behind Doshi a few meters behind him, and decided to find out why he was following them. She turned and looked back at her mother.
“Mother, I need you to keep everyone going. Delos is following us and I want to know why. I will meet you all inside of the stables before we head to see that woman.” Selena said telepathically.
“Alright pup be careful,” Kasumi said back and began speeding to the front of the group, while Selena switched places and headed toward the back of the group.
“Bara I need you to do something for me,” Selena said to her horse telepathically while letting Doshi hear her thoughts.
“Yes my lady what is it I can do for you,” Bara replied.
“As soon as I give you the signal I want you to ride faster and I want you to catch up with the female leading this group and I want you to stay with her until you reach the stables. I need to take care of the nuisance following us.” She said to her.
“As you wish my lady. I am ready when you are.” Bara said.
As they were talking Doshi hears Selena’s conversation with her horse and wondered if she needed assistance. He looked back at her as she moved behind him, and began slowing down. She looked at him and nodded her head as if to say she would be alright. If she needed him she would have said so. He nodded in return and turned back around and continued riding.
Selena caught Doshi looking back at her and thought it was cute that he was just looking to protect her, she nodded to him to let him know she would be fine and watched as he turned back around, and began getting herself ready.
As the palace came into view Selena got ready as she began climbing higher on her horse into a crouched position awaiting the right moment to jump from her horse. She briefly glances back a Delos and it was time. Selena tapped Bara ever so slightly and she began speeding up which caused him to as well. She got ready to jump as he got further into her range, and with a last glance at her mother looking back at her, she leaped off her horse towards Delos finally coming to land behind him on his horse. When she got settled on his horse she tapped him on his shoulder and he began slowing his horse down.
~Delos’s POV~
From Delos’s end, he was wondering what the group in front of him was doing, as far as he could tell they were switching places.
Selena was heading to the back of the group and she began slowing down as another female headed to the front and she began leading the group. He notices Doshi turn his head to look at Selena and noticed as he nodded his head and turned back around to continue riding forward, as Selena began to slowly slow down her horse. He wondered what she was doing.
Suddenly he watched as she tapped her horse gently and the horse began speeding faster. He began to move his own horse faster to catch up with them. Then he watched as she began moving on her horse and eventually ending up in a crouched position on her horse. He looked on as she glanced at her mother once more before leaping off the horse, and what surprised him the most was that when she leaped from her horse she began heading in his direction. He was surprised even more was when she landed gracefully behind him on his horse. When she tapped him on his shoulder he slowed down his horse.
When he came to a stop she slid off his horse and waited for him to join her. He was nervous as he slid off his horse and walked the short distance towards her where she was waiting for him.
~End Delos’s POV~
While waiting for him to join her on the ground she was feeling his nervousness as he headed towards her.
“Good. He should be nervous.” Selena’s beast said.
“Selena I…” He began as she rose up a hand to silence him.
“Just stop Delos.” She began as she lowered her hand. “I want to know why you are following us?” She asked folding her arms waiting for his answer. “And don’t tell me you don’t know.”
“I was just following you to make sure you were safe.” He said to her.
“Did you expect something to happen to me Delos that you had to make sure I was safe?” She asked with a slight growl to her voice.
“Don’t let female talk to you like that, make her see that you are the dominate one.” Delos’s beast said in his mind.
“Don’t question me, Selena. You should know your place.” He said as he walked closer to her, and watched as she took a step back.
“Delos I would back off if I were you.” She said growling.
“I will not, not until you submit to me as your mate.” He said growling at her.
“Oh no we can’t have that, let me combine with you, my lady. He will not touch us with me in control.” Selena’s beast said to her.
“You may have control, but you must relinquish your control when I say so alright.” She said to her beast as her eyes flashed green.
“I will never submit to you.” She growled out as she quickly let Miyuki take control of her and she transformed into her second form. “I will never allow you to touch me.” Selena/Miyuki growled out as one.
“Fine.” He said as he transformed himself and howled into the air as he accepted her challenge.
He flexed his claws as he rushed in, getting ready to slash her. Selena caught his wrist and threw him over her shoulder, where he landed on his feet about 20 feet away from her. He quickly turned as he approached. He was thinking of his options before she used her chioki. He used his whip next as he sent it towards her and it was deflected by her barrier.
Selena saw his determination to get to her. His whip hit against the barrier she erected as she protected herself. She lashed out with her chioki as it went towards him.
Delos saw the attack coming his way as he sent a blast of his own chioki towards her attack. Both attacks met in the middle of the field as they both fought for dominance. There was a big explosion on the field as both opponents were thrown back about five feet from where they were standing, landing hard on the ground.
Both Selena and Delos quickly got back up on their feet as they eyed each other, breathing hard. They were thinking on what to do next since it seemed to be a stalemate. They both were powerful and neither would give in to the other. This last attack injured both of them since she was now sporting several cuts on her body.
Selena saw the same amount of damage on Delos as she tried to come up with another plan. Neither moved, instead, each was staring intently at the other. The silence and stillness lasted a whole minute before Delos decided to end it.
“I will give you one last chance to submit,” Delos said as Selena snarled before rushing at Delos.
He was startled as she seemed to disappear into thin air, causing Delos to stumble when his attack had nothing to connect with, and in turn, Selena hit his arm in passing. Whirling around grabbing his arm, he found that his female now stood where he had started from, essentially trading places.
“Pathetic. How do you expect to injure me if you cannot catch me?” Selena said as she knew just what she was doing. The angrier she made him the less he thought and the more wild and unplanned his attacks were which tended to leave him open to attacks from his opponent.
It worked as Delos leaped at her once again while screaming, “Be quiet and fight.” This time Selena stayed perfectly still until the last second, which made him believe his attack was going to connect. When she moved to the side just enough to avoid his claws, he continued past her leaving his back open. In a move too fast to see Delos now had four long, deep sizzling gashes running vertically the length of his back.
Delos twisted just in time to catch his own claws in Selena’s unprotected left side. She could not prevent the attack in time, as she had her arm in the wrong place, and got hit with his claws.
Selena then closed in again and punched him directly in the chin, sending him flying up and away ending in a slide on his bleeding back through the grass. Selena was immediately on top of him, her right knee planted in the center of the downed chaiura’s chest and her claws wrapped firmly around his throat. “Submit to me as your better and admit defeat,” She snarled.
It looked for a moment as if Delos was actually considering it which caused Selena to unconsciously loosen the hold she had on his throat. Not the best idea, as Delos reached up and clawed with both hands from her upper thigh to the knee that was holding him down while twisting his entire body. He managed to escape the hold and moved to leap away, but before he had moved a foot, three new lines burned across his back, horizontally this time, caused by Selena’s chioki whip.
At the searing pain, Delos turned to attack again and received several lashes across his chest. He leaped back to avoid the whip again he yelled out, “Kaze Kiru.” as his chioki powered claw attack came right for her. Selena managed to dodge the worst of it but still ended up with some nice deep gouges down the front of her chest.
Selena smirked as she saw they were both covered in blood. Selena had but a second when she noticed Delos racing towards her, but she was quicker and used an attack that sent him flying back once more. This time she quickly pinned him down again only this time she had a knee on either side of his chest and an arm pinned under each. The grip on his throat was unforgiving and no matter how much he struggled he could not get loose. He could feel the darkness closing in as the blood loss was catching up with the rapidly increasing need for oxygen.
Selena had won thanks to her beast. It was certain. But she did not want to win by making him pass out. No, she wanted his willing submission. She wanted to hear it. He needed to be forced to admit that she would never give into him willingly. She loosened her hand just enough to allow Delos to pull in a gasping breath.
“You know you will never win now. You have a choice.” She said lowering her voice. “You can either continue to struggle until you blackout or you can willingly submit to me as your better.” Delos tried to growl but it came out as an odd strangled sound instead. “There’s no way for you to escape now. You are too weak. You will not get up from here unless I let you and I will not let you until I hear you say it.”
Delos didn’t want to do it, he didn’t want to submit to the female he was supposed to defeat in the competition, but she was tremendously stronger than himself. He noticed he could probably never have her so he fell still under her.
Feeling Delos finally stop struggling she spoke again. “Are you ready to submit to me as your better?” She said.
He moved his head as much as was possible in an attempt at a nod. Selena loosened the hold on his throat to allow him to speak.
“I, Delos second son of the lord Tashiro submit to you, Selena as my better.” His voice was soft and rough from the near strangling and exhaustion.
When he had finished speaking Selena released his throat completely, and stood up allowing her to walk away.
As she walked away her beast relished her control just enough to transform back, but still held control until she was able to get to Doshi.
“That was a good fight Miyuki. You have done well. Now Delos should be no problem for us when the second competition comes around.” She said to her beast as she continued walking toward the palace.
“Yes, we’ve defeated him in a battle so he shouldn’t be a problem any longer,” Miyuki said back.
“Ah…” Selena said as she gripped her side trying to stop the pain.
“You must hurry my lady; you are running out of strength very rapidly,” Miyuki said. “I can only keep you going for so long before your body will give out.”
“Alright, I’ll try.” She said as she tried to pick up the pace a little, finding it no use. She whistled loudly for her horse to come to her. She waited for a short time, and when her horse came into view she smiled and walked towards her.
“My lady, what has happened to you?” Bara asked walking up beside her so she could put her arm around her.
“I got in a fight with Delos,” Selena said leaning on Bara for support.
“Clime on my lady we need to get you back,” Bara said as she crouched low so she could climb on when she did so Selena leaned forward so she could lay herself on her horse, and when Bara saw she had a hold on herself she slowly took off towards the stables where she knew the group was waiting for her lady.

Inside the stables, the group was waiting for Selena to arrive back when Kasumi and Doshi caught the scent of Selena’s blood they rushed outside to see her. When they got outside the stables they notice Selena in the distance on her horse and something was wrong. They both took off and headed towards her when they reached her they noticed her covered in blood.
“Oh my, what happened to you pup?” Kasumi asked her.
“Delos challenged me, and we fought.” She said straining to speak.
“I’ll kill him for this,” Doshi said as he began growling, and began to turn away.
“No, I took care of it, Doshi.” She said reaching out quickly to catch his hand. “Please… I need you here with me.” Selena finished letting her hand drop as she clenched her eyes in pain.
“Yes my Koi, I shall stay.” He said helping her off the horse and helped to steady her once she was on the ground. “Here Koi let me help heal you.” He said sitting her down and getting in a crouching position beside her.
“I’m fine really.” She said grunting out her pain as she sat down.
“You don’t seem ok, let him heal you pup,” Kasumi said crouching beside her.
“Alright.” She said nodding.
“Ok Koi, I need you to lie down for me.” He said pushing her back a little to lie on his lap as Kasumi got up and walked off to give them a little privacy.
“Alright.” She said lying down on his lap.
Suddenly she feels his hands over her deepest wounds that were on her waist as he began healing her. To her, it was the most wonderful feeling. It was so warm and loving that she was loving every moment of what was happening.
Once he finished with the worst of the wounds he shifted her around gently so that she was now resting in his lap with his arms around her. He lifted her leg ever so gently and licked the wounds there to clean it. What he was doing was a specialty of his and her kind, their saliva was a certain kind of poison that was able to heal wounds, and help them to heal faster.
As soon as Doshi shifted her in his lap she was in total shock. She felt when he lifted her leg gently to lick it clean, and in doing so caused her to shiver slightly at the feeling he was instilling in her body. She was in total bliss as she closed her eyes and laid in his arms enjoying his touch.
Sensing her arousal spiking at the simple act of cleaning her he stopped what he was doing and looked down at her. When he looked into her eyes they were starting to change color. They were going from their beautiful blue to white in color. He saw her passion for him starting to come through.
He stopped his actions and leaned down to kiss her passionately, and she wrapped her arms around his neck. While doing so Doshi used some of his powers to completely heal her so she would be back to normal. When they broke the kiss for lack of air both of them realized that she was fully healed now and he looked down at her and smiled.
“How are you feeling my Koi?” He asked softly.
“Much better now thank you, Doshi.” She replied leaning her head on his shoulder.
Just at that moment, Kasumi came back outside to check on her pup to see how she was faring.
“Ah, Selena all better I see.” She said walking up to them.
“Yep all better.” She said smiling at her while Doshi picked them both up and stood.
“Well then we better get going, your sister and that woman will be upset if you don’t go and see her,” Kasumi said.
“Your right,” Selena responded as they all turned and headed into the stables to get Sierra.
Just inside the stables, Sierra was just finishing getting Selena’s horse cleaned and unsaddled when they walked in.
“Ah there you are Selena, I was wondering what happened to you,” Sierra said walking away from Selena’s horse.
“Nothing happened that you need to worry about, thanks for taking care of my horse for me.” She said lightly bowing her head to her.
“No problem.” She said bowing her head lightly in kind.
“Let us be off then so we can see mother,” Selena said as they all turned and headed into the palace. They headed to the throne room. Slamming the door open, Selena walked in front of her mother and her lord and began speaking.
“Here’s Sierra as you requested.” She said bowing shortly.
“That was unnecessary Selena,” Kasumi said crossing her arms. “Apologize.”
“You’re right, my apologies for being so rude.” She said with another bow.
“No need Selena, thanks for finding your sister,” Eien said with a wave of his hand.
“You’re welcome, my lord.” She said as she starts to turn away, but stops and turns around. “Oh mother, I wish to speak with you privately.”
“That’s fine, let us retire to my study and we can speak there.” She said and then turned to the others. “For the rest of you supper will be served soon so go and get yourselves prepared.”
“Yes, my lady.” They all said bowing and exiting the throne room heading to their chambers.
“Please follow me, Selena,” Azume said beginning to walk away.
“Yes, mother.” She said falling in step behind her mother.
They continued on towards Azume’s study, when they got there they entered and Selena shut the door behind her, and watched as her mother sat down behind her desk, and motioned for her to sit. “Now what was it that you wanted to talk to me about?” Azume asked as Selena sat down.
“I wished to know if the second competition will take place after the main one?” Selena said.
“Oh, you mean the one where you and your sisters will fight your chosen males?” She said.
“Yes, that one,” Selena replied.
“Yes, but they will be spread days apart from the first one so the ones offering you and your sisters there suits can be made at that time. It will be about the time your birthday comes around.” She said with a nod.
“Is this what you will talk about at dinner?” Selena asked.
“That will be a topic that we will be discussing also,” Azume responded.
“Alright then, that was all that I wanted to know,” Selena said with a nod and began getting up.
“Selena, I do have a question for you if you wish to answer it.” She said as she saw her pup getting up from her seat.
“You may ask, but you may not get an answer,” Selena responded sitting back down.
“I’ll accept that.” She said.
“Alright, what’s your question mother?” Selena asked.
“Do you have anyone that you are considering to be your mate?” Azume asked hoping to get an answer.
“I have.” She said with a nod.
“May I ask who?” Azume asked.
“No you may not, you will find out at the introductions,” Selena responded
“Alright, I’ll accept that for now. Let us return to the throne chamber.” Azume said as they both stood.
“Okay.” She said as she turned following her mother to the throne chamber.
As they entered the throne chamber, they noticed Doshi waiting for them to return. Selena immediately noticed him, changed her course and walked towards him.
“Wow, that was fast. Have you been waiting long?” Selena asked him.
“Na not too long.” He said as he smiled at her.
“Alright let us get ready to eat,” Azume said standing next to her mate.
“Would it be alright if I go get changed first?” Selena asked her mother.
“It's fine with me Selena, go and get changed,” Azume said.
“Thanks, but first before I head off.” She said turning around. “Ai!” Ai came forward and bowed before her.
“Yes my lady, what is it you require of me.” She said bowing again.
“Ai is the clothing finished being prepared as I requested?” Selena asked.
“Yes, my lady and I made sure to tell Shay Lyn to put them where you requested.” She responded with a nod.
“And the person’s chamber was empty I take it when you put them in there?” She asked.
“Yes my lady, there was no one in the room while we put the clothing in the chamber.” She responded again.
“Very good Ai, you have done well. You and Shay Lyn may have the rest of the day and tomorrow off.” Selena said with a smile.
“Oh thank you, my lady.” She said bowing once more.
“You’re welcome, now go and have some fun, my friend,” Selena said putting a hand on her shoulder.
Ai bowed once more to her lady and she turns to go tell Shay Lyn the news from her lady, and Selena turned back to her mother and Doshi.
“Alright then now that’s settled, let us go and change then we’ll all go meet the others to eat.
“Ok.” Said everyone in the chamber.
Selena and Doshi turned and headed for the northern wing.
“So what was all of that my love.” He asked her as they walked.
“Nothing much. I talked to mother about the competitions.” Selena said.
“Ok, but what I want to know is what was going on with Ai back there?” He asked her and smirked when she blushed.
“It was just something I had to take care of, no need to worry love,” Selena said taking his arm.
“Alright, so the competitions, are you ready for them my Koi?” He asked her.
“Yes, I am, especially for the second one.” She said with a smirk.
“Oh really now, so what if it was I who won the chance to dominate you.” He said as they stopped.
“I’d say then you better be ready for me love, cause I won’t give in so easily.” She said as she smirked again while folding her arms over her chest and began walking again.
“No need to tease my lady, you know he shall be ours.” Selena’s beast said to her.
“Then you wouldn’t be the female I know you to be. I expect a challenge from you my sweet.” He said twisting her around and bringing her into his embrace exposing a little of his neck in a teasing way.
“You have him where you want him, claim him as your mate now.” Miyuki retorted.
“And you told me not to tease. Ha! You know very well that I have to wait, even though I want too I can’t.” She said to her beast and then turned to look up at her intended. “I will give it, if you are the one that wins the right to dominate me, just be ready because I’m going to give you one hell of a fight.” She said smirking and they kept on walking.
“Oh I will my Koi you just wait and see, no one will have you.” He said as he put an arm around her waist and they continued on in silence to their chambers.
Kasumi felt her pup coming near, so she walked out to greet her. When she saw Selena walking in Doshi’s embrace it made her smile at her pup, and she walked towards them.
“So what was all of that, pup?” Kasumi said walking up to the pair.
“Ah nothing, I will tell you what I said to that woman later, and also. I have a surprise for Doshi.” She said telepathically to her mother.
Doshi’s eyes widened at what Selena just told her mother, and wondered what it was that she did for him.
“Alright then,” Kasumi said with a nod and noticed her pup walking towards Doshi’s door and lightly tapped on it.
“Alright Doshi, I don’t know if you noticed but now inside your chambers in your closet, you will find clothing there if you wish to change. I had a tailor and servant place some inside for you after I said you could stay in my wing for a while.” Selena said smiling at him.
“I don’t know what to say,” Doshi said as he saw her smirk.
“You don’t have to say anything my sweet. Why don’t you go inside and have a look? I’ll be in the next chamber getting ready myself when you're done meet us outside ok.” Selena said walking up to him.
“Thank you so much, Koi that really means a lot to me.” He said bringing her into his embrace.
“You are most welcome Doshi; it was no problem at all,” Selena said smiling up at him.
“Alright, you two let us go and get ourselves ready for supper,” Kasumi said with a smile.
“Yes, mother.” She said leaving his embrace and heading towards her door.
“Your right.” He said looking at Selena. “Be back in a sec ok.”
“Alright, see ya in a bit,” Selena said with a smile.
Doshi turned and walked into his chamber, to change his clothing. When he got to the closet he couldn’t believe his eyes, inside were clothing that had her personal symbol on it. That was her way of telling him that she wanted him as her mate and it told others to stay away from what was hers since she couldn‘t mark himself yet as her mate.
He grabs a grey hakama and haori with a forest green juban underneath that matched his hair, and tied it together with a baby blue sash, and on the right side of his chest was Selena’s symbol.

In Selena’s chamber, Selena and her mother were getting ready.
“So tell me pup, what was it you talked to that woman about?” She asked looking at the clothing she was deciding on wearing on Selena’s bed.
“I asked her about the second competition, and when it would be?” Selena replied as she looked in her closet for clothing for herself to wear.
“And what did she say?” She asked.
“She said that it would be held a few days after the first one, around the time of my birthday,” Selena responded.
“Your birthday is coming up, I didn’t know that?” She said looking at her.
“It’s ok. “ Selena said as she pulled out a kimono that was a light blue in color. It had a blood-red juban that went underneath and a silver sash, with her symbol on the upper right shoulder of her sleeve.
“So what was that outside your chamber, you two looked all comfortable in each other’s embrace?” She said as she picked a yellow-orange kimono with a golden sash, and began getting ready.
“We were talking about the competition.” She replied as she started blushing while getting dressed.
“Uh-huh, what else, come on my pup you can tell me?” She said also getting dressed.
“Well, we talked about what if he won the right to dominate me.” She replied pulling the sash around her waist.
“And what did you say?” She said tying her own sash around her waist.
“I told him to be ready for me because I won’t give in so easily.” She said smirking again while folding her arms over her chest.
“Powerful words my pup are you sure you’re up for the task?” She said also smirking.
“Yes I am, I am more than up to it.” She replied confidently.
“We shall see about that now won't we.” She said with a wink.
They both giggled as they finished getting ready.

After about 15 minutes both women were ready and waiting for Doshi to come out of his room, so they could go to dinner, as soon as he did his eyes widened as well as Selena’s when they saw each other. Doshi walked up to her, took her in his arms and kissed her. Off to the side, Kasumi looked upon Doshi and saw her pups’ symbol on his chest, and her eyes widened in surprise knowing what it meant.
“Oh yes very nice indeed,” Selena said silently to herself pulling back from Doshi and looked over his new outfit.
“My god she looks gorgeous.” He said silently to himself. “You look beautiful my sweet.” He said kissing her forehead.
“Claim her now, claim our female.” His beast said to him.
“I will in time my beast, worry not she will be ours.” He said to his beast and looked down at her.
“Thank you. You look very good as well.” She said not realizing she was licking her lips. “Do you like your clothing?” She asked.
“Very much, but why is your symbol on it?” He asked already knowing the answer to his question. He just wanted to hear it from her.
“I don’t know, I just thought it would look good on you.” She said turning her head away and blushing.
“Alright, you two let us get going,” Kasumi said.
“Yes.” They both said as they started walking towards the dining hall.
Once they reached the dining hall and the doors were opened, they all stepped inside and greeted the lord, and sat in their appropriate seats and waited for the others to join. When they did arrive they were accompanied by Selena‘s two brothers, and they all sat down and waited for the food to be served. Once the food was served the lord took the first bite then everyone else began to eat.

At dinner there were the usual conversations going around when the queen heard Selena talking with her brother about the upcoming competition, the queen decided to cut in. Clearing her throat got everyone’s attention.
“Tomorrow is the day. The day that we will see which one of you will claim our thrown.” Azume said to the table.
“And I wish all of you good luck in your battles,” Eien said as he raised his glass and nodded to his mate.
“We’re all ready to fight, and tomorrow we will know who the best of us all is,” Eris said as she raised her own glass.
All others raised their glasses as well in agreement.
“Also for the unmated females at this table, you know that the second competition will begin soon after,” Azume said looking at her pups.
“Two competitions, what’s the second one for?” Eris asked not knowing that her sisters already knew.
"The second competition is to see who will be your mates,” Eien responded.
“We’ll be ready for that one as well,” Sierra responded from her seat.
“Very good, now that supper is finished, it’s time for you all to go and get some rest for you all have a long day ahead of you,” Azume said.
“Yes, mother.” They all said as one.
“Then go, all of you have a good night and sleep well,” Eien said as he stood with his mate and walked out of the dining chamber.
They all got up except the males and headed for their wings to rest for the night. For tomorrow would be a long day for all.
“Selena, I just wanted to say be careful tomorrow ok. I don’t wanna see you hurt.” Doshi said bringing her by his side.
“I’ll be ok Doshi. Besides if I’m not careful I won’t be able to compete against you.” Selena said looking up at him with a smirk.
“And you better be ready for that my sweet,” Doshi said squeezing her side gently.
“Oh I will my Koi, don’t you worry,” Selena replied back as they entered Selena’s wing.
“Alright you two, we’re here, Selena go in and get to bed you have a big day tomorrow, Doshi would you stay a moment I have something I’d like to discuss with you,” Kasumi said turning towards him.
“Yes, mother,” Selena replied yawning.
“Yes, my lady,” Doshi replied as he watched his mate walk into her chamber.
Selena walks into her chamber, changes her clothing, gets into bed, and falls asleep instantly. While Doshi moved closer to Selena’s mother.
“So Doshi, are you truly ready for Selena?” Asked Kasumi as she looked at Selena’s door.
“Yes I am, and I can’t wait to have her for all of eternity.” He responded back with a smile.
“Very good. I wish to offer a bit of advice that may help you get her a little more easily.” Kasumi said.
“Really, what’s that?” He asked.
“Well as you know Selena is silver Inu like her father, but what she doesn’t know is that when her father and I mated she also became a blue/gold DaiInu,” Kasumi said.
“Ah, I didn’t know that. I have met some regular blue/gold Inus though” He stated.
“Good so you know a little bit about them. Well blue/gold Inu’s even myself are known for their cunning abilities and they are very tricky to beat. Selena is the same. She is very powerful and has very good abilities so she will be a tricky one to defeat.” Kasumi said watching his reaction.
“How powerful is she?” He asked.
“She’s very powerful as you have already seen, but you have yet to see her true powers. When you become her mate, then her true power will come through. So watch out for her attacks, they are going to be powerful, but she does have a weakness.” Kasumi said.
“A weakness, I never knew she had one, she seems so tough.” He replied as he listened.
“Well she has to be tough because of what she has been put through, but when you do go against her in your domination round, you must look where you would least expect to see her weakness. It will be in plain sight, but you will have to be quick if you intend on beating her.” She said smiling.
“I see, thanks my lady for your help,” Doshi said nodding to her.
“It’s no problem Doshi; I knew you loved her from the moment that she told me about you,” Kasumi stated.
“Really?” He said wide-eyed.
“Yes, and I give you my blessings,” Kasumi said nodding.
“Thank you, my lady, now if you please excuse me I have to go and rest for tomorrow,” Doshi said bowing.
“As do I, remember what I told you Doshi and she will be yours,” Kasumi said as she turned and started to head into her chamber.
“I will.” He said as they both headed into their chambers for the night and went to sleep.
It was soon after that that all present at the table during dinner retired to their chambers for the night. For tomorrow was going to be a long day.
