Selena, Doshi, and Eris finally arrive at their father’s palace and began dismounting their horses. With her new ability, Selena talked to Bara, Arashi, and Ryuu in her mind.
Selena then turns to the others and notices they are waiting for her so she fastens her cloth around her face, brings her hood around her head, and puts up a barrier to hide her powers, scent, and aura. Once finished she turns to Eris and Doshi and noticed that Doshi was already set and ready. She turns to look at Eris and nods to her and she does the same accept hides who she was. Selena caught on to what she was doing but said nothing.
“My lord and ladies, if you are hidden like that, the guards may not let you inside to see your father,” Themis stated to the group.
“We have our reason for doing this Themis.” Stated Doshi.
“There’s no promise that we would get in, but this way we’ll get inside no matter what,” Selena said walking next to her brother.
They all headed to the front door of their father’s palace and came face to face with the guards there.
“Halt! You three are not permitted to enter without the lord’s consent.” The two guards said holding up their staffs blocking their entrance into the palace.
“We are the lord’s pups, and I demand you let us in now,” Selena said with a growl to her voice.
“I’m sorry but we cannot allow you to enter the palace.” The first guard stated.
“Fine then,” Selena said as she uses her telekinesis to move the guards out of the way and they headed inside.
As they were heading through the halls, the guards broke out of her spell and ran towards them. Selena sensed them coming, smirked because she knew they would take them before their father. The guards finally caught up to them, bound their hands together, and took them to the king.
From inside the chamber, Lord Atomus awaited the arrival of his daughters, when his doors were thrown open and in stepped three of his guards with three young Inus in their grasps.
“Your Majesty.” Guard one said as he went up and bowed before him.
“What’s going on here?” The Lord asked his guards and then waited for them to answer while looking at the three Inus in front of him.
“We caught these three trying to enter the palace.” Said the second guard as he waved his hand and they were all thrown to the grounds and were held there by their arms.
“What business do you three have with me? Have you come to see me?” Atomus asked the trio on the ground.
“Hai, Majesty.” They all said as they bowed their heads with their eyes trained on the floor in front of them.
“They claim to be your pups majesty.” Guard one stated.
“My pups!” He said rising quickly from his seat. “Untie their hands now!” He growled out to his guards.
“Hai, majesty.” Both guards said as they did as their lord requested.
As the trio was untied and standing the king noticed one of his daughters because of her untrained power to hide, but the other one and the boy he wasn’t sure of because they were hiding everything from him with a barrier.
“You two.” He points to Selena and Doshi. “Come here.”
Selena and Doshi share a quick glance at each other and quickly bow their heads walking up to their father. When they reach him they knelt down before him and waited.
“Why do you two have your face and senses hidden from me?” He asked the pair on the floor in front of him.
“For our protection majesty.” Stated Doshi.
“Also because I am afraid you will not like me,” Selena said as she turns her head away from her father.
That was all he needed to determine who the two were. He knew those voices, they belonged to his pups. He nodded and took on a serious voice as he continued on.
“Protection from what, and why do you think I will not like you?” Atomus asked them as he knelt down in front of his daughter and takes her chin in his clawed hand to make her look at him. “My you’re a beautiful young Inu, are you sure you’re my daughter?” He asked her.
“Hai sir,” Selena said.
“Then both of you lower your barrier, and reveal yourself to me,” Atomus said sternly.
“Hai” They replied as one.
They both lowered their barriers at the same time, but when Selena was about to reach up to remove the cloth from her face her father stopped her as he raised his hand and pulled the cloth from her face, and pushed back the hood allowing him to look upon his daughter and adopted son for the first time since they were little.
“Doshi, Selena it is you.” He says as he stands up pulling Selena up with him, as Eris runs up to them as well.
“Hai it’s us father. Themis told us that you wanted to see us, and Doshi wanted to come along with us.” Selena said as Doshi came up next to her.
“Hai I did summon you, come with me to my gardens you three and let’s talk.” He said as he began walking off.
“Hai father.” They all said as one as they followed behind him.
Soon they all came outside and headed to their father's garden. As they arrived in the gardens Selena walked in awe as she saw the most beautiful garden that she had ever seen. It was even more beautiful than her mother’s.
“You like my gardens I see?” Atomus said as he glances at Selena and nudges her gently.
“Hai father, it’s so beautiful and the smell is amazing,” Selena said taking another breath of fresh air.
“Alright then from now on this is your personal gardens to do with as you please when you are here.” He stated as he watched her reaction.
“Oh really thank you father,” Selena said excitedly.
“Now.” Atomus turns to face them. “How have you three been doing?” He asked and waited for a response.
“We’ve been doing ok father.” Replied Doshi.
“I miss that you aren’t around anymore.” Replied Eris.
“I know pups, and I’m sorry about that.” Said Atomus.
“It’s ok father,” Selena said softly.
The lord looked between Selena and Doshi and thought it was time to talk with them alone.
“Before I go any further Selena, Doshi come with me we need to speak privately. Eris please wait here and we’ll be back shortly.” The lord said.
“Yes, father.” They all said as Selena and Doshi followed their father.
They all walked a ways off so they couldn’t be heard by any others. When they stopped and the king raised a soundproof barrier and turned around to face his pups.
“Ok, now that the three of us are out of earshot and my barrier is up, I can speak with you without being disturbed.” He saw them nod and he continued. “The reason I wanted to talk to the two of you is to tell you Doshi of something very important that your mother should have told you when you were born, and I feel Selena should hear this as well.” The Lord said with a sigh.
“What is it, father?” Doshi asked.
The king took a deep breath and said, “Doshi, you were adopted by your mother and me when you two were small pups.” He finished and waited for his response.
Doshi thought about what he was told and the news began making him furious now knowing that his mother hide this kind of information from him and he began growling low in his chest.
“Why would mother hide this kind of information from him, father?” Asked Selena.
“I don’t know my pup, I guess it’s the same reason she hid the fact that I was living from all of you as well.” He responded with a shrug as he heard Doshi growling.
Selena hearing Doshi still growling put a hand on his shoulder to calm him down. When he did he looked at her and nodded his thanks.
“What are we going to do now father, will Doshi continue to fight in the competition?” Asked Selena looking back at her father.
“If Doshi still wants to fight he can if he wants to, but he isn’t required to fight now that he’s not your brother.” The Lord answered and then looked at Doshi. “What do you wish to do Doshi; do you still want to fight?” He asked him.
“I do still want to fight, but how can I knowing I’m not inline to take over if I am to win?” He asked Atomus.
“You were raised as one of our own Doshi so you are considered our pup adopted or not and you will be in line to take over if you do win the competition.” The Lord responded.
Doshi nodded and said, “Alright then, I want to fight in the competition.”
“Very good. Now when we get back to where Eris is you can choose to tell her what we discussed or you can keep it secret. It is up to you to decide Doshi.” He stated.
“Ok, but before we go back I have one more question.” Said Doshi.
“Ask.” Replied the lord.
“If what you say is true and I’m adopted does that mean I could take Selena as my mate if I wanted?” He asked while looking at her.
Selena’s eyes went wide as Doshi asked his question, and began blushing at the realization at what was said, he wanted her to be his mate. Coming out of her thoughts she waited for her father to answer his question.
“If you and she wanted then yes. You two are not related so it’s possible for the two of you to mate if you so choose.” He said looking back and forth between the two, laughing silently at the look and blush on Selena’s face.
“Ok thanks.” He replied looking at Selena and smiled at her. “I think then that the competition will serve as practice for the second one. I will be happy to fight in the competition if it means I can have her as a mate.” Doshi replied to the lord in his mind.
The lord’s eyes went wide as he heard what was said and nodded to him. They all turned and headed back towards Eris. When they reached Eris they all sat on some benches by a fountain and continued the conversation.
“Sorry, we kept you waiting Eris.” The Lord said as he looked at her.
“It’s ok father.” She stated.
“Now where did we leave off. “ He said thinking when he remembered he said, “Ah yes I remember. I heard that the competition is coming up soon, have you three been preparing for it?” He asked his pups.
“Yes sir, we’ve been training every day.” Replied Doshi.
“Very good, and since you three have been training hard, I have something to give to the three of you.” Said Atomus.
“What is it?” Asked Selena.
“You shall see pup.” Said the lord as he stands from his spot and pulls from his person three swords, one from his back and two from his side, takes them out of their sheaths, and sticks them all in the ground.
“Ok Selena, you’re first. If you can put the Chandrahas back into its sheath, the sword and all of its powers will be yours.” The lord gives Selena the sheathe, and stepped towards Doshi. “Doshi, same with you. If you can put the Takahara back into its sheath, its power shall be yours.” The lord hands Doshi its sheathed and turns to Eris. “Alright, Eris, last but not least. The same goes for you if you can put the Fairamay into its sheathe its power shall be yours.” The lord gives Eris the sheathe and stands back to watch what was going to happen.
“Father, do you think I can control the power of Chandrahas?” Asked Selena holding the sheathe in her hands.
The Lord nodded and said, “Yes, you are ready pup, you’ll do fine.”
“Alright…” She said as Selena goes over to the sword and reached out to put her hand on the hilt of the sword. When her hand was wrapped around the hilt the sword sprang to life.
“Hn… a new blood. I take it you are his daughter. Hmm very powerful indeed, I shall have fun taking you over.” The sword said in Selena’s mind.
“Ha, you’ll never take me over, I won’t allow it.” She stated back to the sword.
“Don’t be sure about that.” The sword said and in just a split of a second, the sword transferred a crystal into Selena’s body, which went undetected by all. The sword then pulsed in her hand as it tried to use its power to take over Selena’s body, but Selena held strong and used her own power to silence the sword once more. Putting her back in control. She then takes the sword and puts it gracefully back into its sheath as her father instructed.
“Very well done Selena, you are now the owner of this sword. Use it well.
“Thank you, father.” Said Selena with a smile on her face.
“Ok, Doshi it’s your turn.” The lord said while facing Doshi.
“Yes, Sir,” Doshi said with a nod and walks over to the sword.
When he grasps the hilt of the sword, it wasn’t strong enough to take over Doshi and he was able to pick up the sword with no problem and puts it back in its sheath.
“That was really good Doshi, well done.” He stated with a nod of his head.
“Thanks.” Replied Doshi.
“Ok, Eris it’s your turn.” The king said glancing at Eris.
“Yes, father.” She said as she walks over to the sword confident that she could do what her brother and sister had just done.
When she grasps the hilt of the sword, it almost takes control over her, but Selena broke through to her and Eris was able to pick up the sword and put it back in the sheath.
“That was really good all of you. Even though Selena may have the most powerful of the three swords, your swords will be yours alone, and no one can wield them but you.” The Lord said with pride in his voice.
“Thank you, father.” They all said at once.
“Father, there is something I don’t understand. Wasn’t Armon supposed to get the Chandrahas before me, since he’s the oldest?” Asked Selena as she removes her other sword from the holder on her back, and places the Chandrahas in its place, and places her other sword in the sash around her waist.
“No, this sword you now carry I was saving for you until you became of age and transformed into your second form. You will be the only one who can control the power of Chandrahas and not let it control you.” The lord stated.
“Is Armon not strong enough to control Chandrahas?” Asked Doshi.
“No not yet, the reason for that is; he doesn’t realize that to control the power of Chandrahas you must be in control of yourself, and you must protect the ones you love in times of hardship. He has yet to show me if he can do that.” Replied the lord.
“Do you think I can do that?” Asked Selena.
“I know you can do it. One day with the sword’s power and your own, you will be a powerful queen.” Stated the lord.
“Thank you, father.” Replied Selena with a short bow.
“What would happen if the sword takes over Selena? Like it almost did before when you gave her the sword. Do you really think she has enough power to control it?” Doshi asked a little worried.
“It won’t because you’ll have this.” He holds up the Tatsumaki crystal for Selena to see. “To help control the power of Chandrahas until you yourself have enough power to do so.”
“That’s the legendary Tatsumaki crystal,” Selena said with a short gasp.
“Yes, it is. With your power and the crystal, you will be able to control the power of the sword.” He says as he walks towards her and hands her the crystal.
“Wow, what power. Thank you, father.” She said taking it, as soon as she held it in her hand it began glowing, and suddenly it disappeared into Selena’s body.
“Now you have the power to control the Chandrahas, take out the sword and lets its power coarse through your veins. In time with enough training, you won’t even need the crystal's power to help you.” The lord said.
Selena takes the sword back out of its sheath and held it up proudly.
“Wow what power, I hope that one day I can be that powerful.” Stated Eris watching her sister.
“You will Eris, just keep on training, and you will be just as strong as your sister.” He replied keeping his eye contact on Selena.
Selena then takes the sword and puts in back in its sheath on her back. Watching from behind her Doshi looked on proudly.
“Take mate, must have her. Take her now so that other male doesn’t have her.” Doshi’s beast said to him.
“Never fear beast she shall be ours, that other male won’t even have a chance. For now, we must be patient.” Doshi responded to his beast.
“Now the three of you are ready for the competition.” He looks to Selena and began speaking to her in her mind. “Selena with your power and Chandrahas you will be the victor of the competition.” He said and smiled.
“I shall do my best father.” Replied Selena.
“Same here. We won’t let you down.” Said Eris.
“Good.” The lord stated.
“Father, I wanted to ask you something?” Eris said walking closer to her father.
“Ask pup,” Atomus said looking at her.
“If you’re our father, are you our other brothers and sisters’ father too?” She asked.
“If you mean Armon, yes he is your brother, but Sierra and Arion are only your step brother and sister.” He replied looking at Doshi to see if he should continue. When he shook his head no he understood why.
“What about Doshi?” Eris asked looking at him.
“That Eris you’ll have to ask Doshi about at a later time ok.” Replied her father.
“Ok father,” Eris said dropping the subject for now.
“So will you be attending the competition?” Asked Selena.
“Yes I will be there, but you three will be the only ones that will be able to see me.” He replied sitting back down on a bench.
“Why will we be the only ones that will see you?” Asked Doshi.
“I will have to transform into another being in order to see your battles, but because of this you three will be the only ones to see me through the transformation. Just keep this between the three of us ok.” Replied Atomus.
“Yes, father.” They all said at once.
“Ok, you three; it’s time to go back to your mothers’ and train more before the competition.”
“Yes, father.” They said together.
“Selena before you go I wish to speak with you privately.” He said as he rose from his seat.
“Alright.” She said walking up next to him.
“Very good. Eris, Doshi, if you two are hungry you may go and get something to eat from the kitchens until you are summoned.
“Ok father,” Eris said as she licked her lips and runs off to the kitchens followed closely by Doshi.
“Come with me to my study so we can speak more privately.” He said looking at Selena.
“Yes, father.” She replied with a nod of her head. They both turned and headed towards the lord's study.
When they entered the lord’s study he took his seat behind the desk and he motioned for Selena to sit on his right. Selena seated herself and waited to see what her father wanted to talk to her about.
“Ok Selena, I wanted to talk to you about your training.” He stated leaning back in his chair.
“What about it?” She asked as she leaned back in her own chair and crossed her legs.
“I think that you are not far enough in your powers with the current trainer you have so I’m going to appoint one for you to teach you to unleash your full potential.” He said crossing his arms.
“Ok. I have no problem with that father. Who’s going to be training me?” She asked.
“Well, that’s the thing. I’m not sure if you will accept the trainer I have for you.” He said with a sigh.
“Oh, why not?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Because she’s your stepmother.” He said looking at her more closely to judge her reaction.
“My stepmother, that means you’ve mated again.” She stated.
“I have my little one, and I wanted you personally to spend time with her.”
Selena sat there for a moment to let this information float around in her head for a while and wondered what it would be like to have this woman in her life now that she was mated to her father. Thinking it would be a good idea she looked back at her father and nodded, “I would like that father. Is she the same daichaiura as us?” She asked.
“Well, unfortunately, she’s different than me.” He responded.
“Oh? How so?” She asked.
“Well, it’s kind of hard to explain really. Your mother is a plain gold Inu and I’m only a plain silver DaiInu’s with only two forms, but you my pup turned out to be a full silver DaiInu with three forms. Your new stepmother is the same as you. She’s a full blue/gold DaiInu with three forms.” He said as he stopped to let her take all of this in before he continued.
Selena sat and thought about what she was told. She was now excited to meet this female that was going to be her stepmother. She then looked into her father’s eyes in understanding as she nodded her head with a smile, and waited for her father to continue.
When he saw Selena look at him with a smile he continued, “So since she’s the same as you, she will be helping you with your training.” He said.
“Alright, when should I start?” She asked
“Well she’ll be traveling back with you and she’ll stay there with you until the competition is over.” He responded.
“Ok. So when do I get to meet her?” She asked excitedly.
“Right now if you like.” He said with a slight laugh.
“Great I would like that.” She said with a smile.
“Themis!” He shouted.
Themis came into the lord’s study and bowed before the king.
“Themis I want you to go and get my mate, and tell her that I wish to see her in my study.” He said waiting for a reply.
“Of course my lord. Right away.” He said with a bow and turned and went to do his lords bidding.

He came upon her majesties chamber and knocked waiting for her reply from inside.
“Enter.” Replied Kasumi from the other side of the door.
Themis opened her door and walked inside. Kasumi looked up from the book she was reading to see what Themis wanted.
“My lady, the Lord wishes for you to see him in his study.” He said bowing.
“Alright tell him I’ll be arriving soon.” She said getting up.
“Yes, my lady.” He said bowing and left the chamber.
Lady Kasumi was getting herself ready; she knew why her mate had summoned her. It was because his daughter was here and that she was going back to her home with her to help her train. She finished getting ready, and headed down the hall to her mate's study, when she got there she gently knocked on the door, and waited for her mate to reply.

“Ah, that would be Kasumi, enter mate.” He said from his seat in his study.
Both lord and daughter stood to greet the female as she entered the chamber. As she entered the chamber, Selena gasped at her beauty, she was the most beautiful chaiura that she had ever seen and powerful too. Her hair was a honey gold with blue streaks that came down to about the middle of her knee, which she has in a low braid down her back. She had two golden stripes on each side of her cheeks, and beautiful blue eyes. She was slightly shorter than her mate, coming only up to his shoulder.
As Lady Kasumi walked farther into the chamber and looked upon her mate and his daughter. Selena she thought was beautiful and she had an aura around her that greeted people with joy and happiness, as well as strength and power. She was very impressed with the girl, as she walked up beside her mate.
“Ah welcome mate. I want to introduce you to my eldest daughter Selena; she’s the one that you are going to be training.” He said putting an arm around her waist.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Selena, your father has told me so much about you, and was excited to meet you.” She stated.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you as well,” Selena said with a short bow.
“I’m also looking forward to completing your training,” Kasumi said.
“As am I.” She said excitedly.
“Good, now that you two have gotten acquainted it is time for you two to get going.” The lord said looking between his mate and pup.
“Yes mate, let me finish getting ready, and then we may leave,” Kasumi responded.
“Selena why don’t you go with her and get more acquainted with each other. I will summon your sister and Doshi, and then head to the courtyard.” Said Atomus.
“Ok father,” Selena said with a nod.
“Yes mate.” Kasumi turns slightly, kisses his cheek, and then turns to Selena. “Let’s be off then Selena.”
“Okay,” Selena said as she walked behind her stepmother. Both females headed out of the study and headed to Kasumi’s chambers.
“So Selena tell me a little bit about yourself.” She asked the young pup.
“Well, I’m 21, and I’m a full silver DaiInu chaiura that can transform into three forms. I have 2 sisters and 2 brothers.” She replied.
“I see you have your stripes, have you transformed into your second and third forms yet?” She asked.
“When I was transforming my second form was shown, but when I finished the transformation, I ended up being as you see me now. I have yet to transform fully into my second form and I have yet to transform into my third form.” Selena said as they entered Kasumi’s chamber.
“I see. If I may ask Selena, did you transform by yourself or did you have some help?” She asked turning to look at Selena.
“I started transforming on my own, and then when I couldn’t finish it I had some help,” Selena said.
“So you couldn’t finish the transformation on your own,” Kasumi said with a raised eyebrow.
“That’s correct; my powers were getting out of control so I had help from two others. Both said that if they didn’t help I would die so they lent me their powers to help me transform.” Said Selena.
“Ah, I see. Are they DaiInu like us?” She asked.
“Only one of them is. The first was only a plain red Inu chaiura and can only transform like father. The other though is a full blue/green DaiInu chaiura and can transform like us.” She responded.
“You needn’t address me so formally Selena,” Kasumi stated while continuing to get ready.
“But you are my father’s mate; I have to be formal with you,” Selena replied.
“Well when we are in others' presence than address me formally, but when we are alone, and at your home, I wish for you to call me something else.”
“What would you have me call you?” Asked Selena.
“Anything you like my dear.” She responded.
“Would you allow me to call you mother when we are alone?” She asked turning her head and blushed.
Kasumi was surprised at her request and was wondering if she could call her, her pup. Her beast had accepted Selena from the moment she looked upon her. So she walked over to Selena and lifted her head to look into her eyes.
“You may call me your mother if you wish, but why would you call me this when you already have a mother?” Asked Kasumi already knowing her answer.
“The mother I have no longer cares for me. She’s my mother, and I have to act accordingly, but I wish to have a mother that cares for me and will actually take time to be my mother.” She replied with a sigh.
“Ah, I see, then I have no problem being your mother.” She brings Selena in her arms. “I will love you like my own, and teach you everything that I know,” Kasumi said into her hair.
Just then Selena glowed faintly and when the glow died down Selena stood there in her new mothers’ arms with a new transformation. Her hair now had gold running through it, her blue eyes held speckles of gold in them, and a golden stripe was now molded with her own on her body.
“Thank you so very much.” Replied Selena pulling back a little to look at her new mother.
“No need for thanks pup, now let’s get ready, and head down to see your father,” Kasumi said turning towards her bags that were already packed.
“Ok.” Selena returned as she headed to pick up her mother’s bags.
They continued to get ready, and when they were finished they headed down to the courtyard where the king, Eris, and Doshi were waiting with their horses.
“Did you two get along well?” The lord asked as he noticed Selena’s new transformation, and knew that it could only mean one thing, that his mate accepted Selena as her own and they were now mother and pup.
“Yes mate.” Kasumi turned to him slightly. “And she asked me to be her mother.” She said to him in his mind and then turned to look at Eris and Doshi. “So who are these two young ones?” She asked.
Atomus looked at his mate and his daughter surprised that Selena would want her as a mother so quickly. When he heard his mate ask her question he replied. “I am happy to hear the news of you two getting along so well.” He turned to Kasumi and put an arm around her waist. “Mate this is Eris my second daughter and this is Doshi.” “He’s my adopted pup.” He said to his mate in his mind.
“It’s a pleasure to meet both of you,” Kasumi said as she looked at them.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you too,” Doshi responded to her then looked at Selena. She was now even more beautiful than before, and he wanted her all the more now. She’s strong and powerful as well as very beautiful, kind, and caring. All the strong qualities he was looking for in a mate.
“Same here,” Eris said with a slight bow of her head.
“Now that we’ve all gotten introduced you four need to get going.” The king said looking at each of them.
“Yes, sir.” All the pups said as one.
“Yes mate,” Kasumi said as she went into his embrace.
“We will see you at the competition father?” Asked Eris.
“Yes, I will be there pup.” Said Atomus.
They all gathered their things and got on their horses ready to leave.
“Have a safe journey all of you and remember what I told you, Selena.” He said to all of them and then turned to Selena.
“I will father,” Selena replied with a nod.
“Are you three ready?” Asked Kasumi.
“Yes my lady, we’re ready.” Responded Eris.
Lady Kasumi looked at Selena and Doshi to see them nod.
“Alright then let’s be off.” Said Kasumi. With that, they all took off and headed back to their home.
